1918 was a pivotal year for both Canada and Grande Prairie. The continuing Great War ushered in the New Year and the Spanish Flu closed it out, two events that traumatized a nation and a community. Despite the sad bookends, not all was doom and gloom. Come hear archivist Josephine Sallis share an anecdotal history of Canada and Grande Prairie in 1918, based on records from the South Peace Regional Archives.
