Up and coming counter-tenor Kelan Lynch will hold a community-appreciation and fundraising performance in Alberta’s Peace Region later this month. As a countertenor, which is the rarest of all voice types, Lynch, a University of Alberta graduate, has been accepted to study his Masters of Music & Performance at Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, England.
Lynch will be accompanied by collaborative pianist Shannon Hiebert, instructor at the University of Alberta in Opera Workshop/Music Direction and Chorus Master for Edmonton Opera. Also joining Lynch is emerging Canadian tenor Matthew Dalen and soprano Chelsea Pall, founder of Grande Prairie Opera.
