Join the City of Grande Prairie and County of Grande Prairie in celebrating Earth Day on Saturday, April 26 at the Montrose Cultural Centre in Teresa Sargent Hall from noon to 4 p.m.
This exciting family-friendly event is packed with interactive exhibits, educational opportunities and fun activities for all ages.
Attendees will also have a chance to win one of two compact Jetson electric bikes.
Event highlights include:
- A live hive experience offering a close-up look at the vital role of pollinators.
- A GP Grows Seed Bar where residents can choose from 14 seed varieties to create their own customized gardens.
- The "Electric Avenue" showcase featuring electric vehicles on the south concourse.
- Engaging hands-on activities, including demonstrations on sustainable living from local groups and organizations, themed cookie decorating, and face painting.
To encourage sustainable transportation, the City of Grande Prairie is offering complimentary city-wide transit throughout the day.
