As our way of saying thank you to all the supporters of the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum, we invite all members of the community to visit and explore the museum galleries free of charge on Saturday, October 26, 2019 to celebrate Al Lakusta Day.
Learn about the palaeontological history of the fossil-rich Peace Region and the mighty dinosaurs that once roamed this land. Get engaged with our world-class interactive exhibits designed to bring this prehistoric age to life!
The museum will be open regular Saturday hours from 10:00am to 5:00pm with events ending at 4:00pm. Charges will be as usual for films in the Aykroyd Family Theatre, shopping in the Kaleidosaur gift shop, dining at the Dine-O-Saur restaurant with a special Al Lakusta Day menu, and other programs.
There will be dino-tastic crafts in the classroom and fossil tables around the gallery all ending at 2:00pm. Our kid’s costume contest will take place at 2:30pm in the Alliance Pipeline Education wing.
The museum will be hosting an Alberta Conservation Association sponsored lecture on Creepy Crawlies at 3:00pm in our Aykroyd Family Theatre. The theatre will show it’s last movie at 1:00pm for the lecture.
The dino bus shuttle will be picking up and dropping off at Centre 2000 and the Montrose Cultural Centre. Thank you to Seven Generations for being our Transportation Sponsor!
